Brand Concepts for HUNGRY VC
I’m currently working with the founder Dave McClure on developing a brand for his new venture: HUNGRY VC.
The team is holding off on the brand logo (envisioned to be a mischievous raccoon) and focusing on the website development first.
I created three branding concepts, each featuring different color palettes and website styles. To visualize how the colors can be applied, I created a sample website landing page using temporary text and visuals. I also included raccoon illustrations as placeholders to demonstrate how the logo could be integrated throughout the site.
In all three drafts, I focused on capturing the brand essence—money, food, and the mischievous raccoon—just as Dave described.

Mission
Venture Capital drives job creation and innovation that benefits society, but the industry is dominated by the wealthy and pedigreed, and it’s difficult and expensive for underdogs / outsiders to break in.
Hungry VC helps rookie VCs with networking, education, mentorship, and capital. We specifically focus on first-time managers, and those from underrepresented backgrounds or underserved markets, or developing critical technologies that create impact.
Impact Thesis
Hungry VC operates on the belief that by empowering first-time fund managers from disadvantaged backgrounds—particularly BIPOC individuals, women, and those from underserved regions—they will be uniquely positioned to identify and support companies that drive meaningful change in those same communities.
These fund managers bring invaluable insights and connections to underserved metros, making them ideally equipped to back ventures that address critical social and environmental challenges. By enabling these leaders, Hungry VC aims to catalyze investments that bridge opportunity gaps, create jobs, and support solutions for pressing social issues, ultimately fostering inclusive and sustainable development.
